Death Benefit Plus is a new whole of life insurance product which pays a benefit on the death of a member to their family or personal representatives/estate. The member is the policy owner and will choose the amount of cover they need and will pay their fixed monthly premiums by direct debit to ECCU, thus putting the member in control of their own life insurance cover needs. The covers available range from €3,000 and increase in steps of €500 to the maximum cover amount of €15,000. As a whole of life policy it protects a member for the rest of their life, provided the member continues to make their premium payments. Premium payments will be required until the earliest of reaching age 85, the maximum premium term of 30 year’s or the member’s death.
